Born August 8, 1961 in Pompano Beach, FL., Pastor Samuel L. Sneed, Jr. is the fifth of sixteen children born to Pastor Samuel L. Sneed, Sr. and District Missionary Betty Sneed. Pastor Sneed is a retired Navy man with over 25 years of leadership experience. He is a 4th generation COGIC preacher/teacher who has been called to "set the house in order.
As a child he attended Black's Memorial Temple Church of God in Christ where his father is the Pastor, and was also born, his grand mother Evangelist Jesse Sneed, also raised at Black's Memorial by Elder Sneed's Great Grand Mother (evangelist) Nellie Green - who was the first church of Black's Memorial Temple then known as Church of God in Christ #-1 Pompano.

Upon graduating high school, Elder Sneed joined the United States Navy and served for 20 years before retiring.
